My company employs approx. 220 ee. We are in the manufacturing industry and need to get a better handle on who is scheduled for vacation and when. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to track

My company employs approx. 220 ee. We are in the manufacturing industry and need to get a better handle on who is scheduled for vacation and when. Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to track this so that all supervisors and managers have access to the schedule? Does anyone know of a public calendar system managers can access using their computer?

MS Outlook has public calendars that can be set up if you have a networked computer system. You can set it up limiting the access to make chnages, but everyone can view the calendar. Also you could look into an online HRIS, which have provisions for vacation tracking and much more. |

www.mypalm.com has a free online calendar that you can set up for group viewing. I also use www.hrone.com which has a calendar feature but also allows employees to see their vacation and sick accruals from anywhere they can access the net. It is fairly inexpensive and has other modules such as sruveys, benefit tracking, etc. |
