I recently took up a senior assignment in HR. One person on my team is extremely charming and outgoing and has earned the trust of the senior management by dint of hard work as well as sheer charm. Ever since I came in though I have caught this person several times in little white lies related to work. This employee also bypasses me in critical matters - on confronting, I get vague and unsatisfactory replies. Anyway I get involved in the critical decisions but because of this, find that others have info which I don't (from my own team). I have made it clear that this is unacceptable. I don't see any major changes yet. What should I do???

whenever one takes any new assignment such type of problems are very common I suppose by the time yoou must have overcome and if not then these are the remedy

1 you can strightfrawadly talk to him this is how you want he to work.

2 still he disobey talk to management complain him

3 still management does not listen then (last option) keep an eye on him study him what kind of character he is, he must be having a number of loop holes , bad habbits , hilight it to the others he will be all right.

Daily Q&A

How Do We Keep Our Best During Upheaval?

Things are getting scary for us. We recently had to downsize, and since then have lost some of our best people to other jobs. Aside from boosting their pay (which isn't feasible now), what practical steps can we take to keep them from quitting on us?
