I always recommend Kennedy Publications Guide to Executive Recruiters, also known as the red book.

And for what its worth most decent recruiters work nationally. Therefore you would be wise to approach your situation from that perspective instead of simply seeking a recruiter or recruiting firm that specializes in Dallas or any other location.

One final point - while recruiters are great resources and can add value to a search they do not work for you the candidate. They are either working for the customer or themselves. The candidate is merely a commodity.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
