Hi folks
I am in HRIS, benefits and comp now but want to change my career to HR generalist since my exposure in the current job has very less exposure to HR and people.
But the opportunities Iam getting are all HR coordinator roles with staffing and recruiting and helping HR managers. Will it be a step down to my career growth to take it since I already have 3 years of HR experience with 1.5 years of HRIS exposure.
Let me know your thoughts

Well do some research in the General Discussion area and I think you'll find plenty of commentary regarding HR Generalists.
I think you would be better served in a specialist role but others feel differently.
regardless, read the debate and make your own conclusions.

Daily Q&A
How to Address Flagging Motivation?
How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
