I'm in my third year of working full time, and I work for a government contractor doing IT/Telecom work so I'm a little worried about job security. I have ~2 years (I think about 60 credit hours) worth of college credits, but they're split up among 2 different schools so I believe they're going to be worth much much less once I transfer. However, I would like to get a piece of paper at some point saying I completed a Bachelor’s. I believe its best to go for an online degree and I want to learn about the colleges that are accredited and offer such degrees. Please do help me move further on. |

degreeinfo.com is also another good source of info. Make sure that whatever program you choose is accredited by one of the 7 regional accreditation councils. There's a lot of "snake oil" being sold as online education these days, so be careful. Any school claiming to be accredited by some Distance Learning Board should be immediately suspect. |

I earned my Bachelors from Western Governors University (www.wgu.edu) in Salt Lake City, UT. THis school is very good. The curriculum for HR is taylor made for the HR proffessional and a part of the curriculum is gaining PHR certification (if you have at least 2 years of exempt level experience or if a student, then you have 5 years to get the experience to enjoy full certification priviledges). They are very affordable and the Mentors really care and work with you toward the completion of your degree. |

All the teachers at my school are reading The Talent Code, by Daniel Coyle. It's about how skill grows in the brain, and how to get more of it -- super-interesting, and useful ([url=http://thetalentcode.com/]The Talent Code[/url]). There's some great stuff about what successful schools do to motivate students, too.

Most universities have distance/online classes so check with your local college campuses. All state universities have online and distance learning also so I would start there. Don't go to an online only school, go with a school that you know is legit. |

I did my graduate through DeVry University. I know they also have the undergrad program online. Research them as well. I was pleased with the online school. |
