Hello everyone,

I am a fresh graduate. Did my MBA(HR) from India.
My husband is posted in Atlanta and i am looking forward for a career in Atlanta.
I also intend to give PHR in Dec and i am waiting for my work permit also which would take few days.
I wanted to inquire if I can work in an NGO as an HR professional even without work permit.
Where else do you all see the scope of entery level HR professional.

Kindly respond.

Regards
Shubhra

To work in this country in any position you must have an entry visa that permits you to work here. Period. Without such a visa it is illegal for a company to hire you.

There's entry visas and then there are work authorized visas. Your husband may be here on a work authorized visa sponsored by his employer. However, spouses don't get the same visa allowing the visa holder to work.

Daily Q&A

How to Address Flagging Motivation?

How do I increase motivation levels in the department? How do I brand my business unit as an attractive place to work? I have top-notch IT professionals in my business unit who feel they are "children of a lesser God" because they are non-billable resources and do not get plum postings abroad, nor the glamour that goes with them. As a result, their motivation suffers.
