Hi. I run a small consulting firm and we are building a new internet
product to onboard employees (see myfirst100days.com). Onboarding as we see it, as opposed to orientation, is more about knowledge transfer, learning, gathering intelligence, etc. than filling out HR forms and policies. We are focused on
a 100 day process and providing single point resources for employees to
become as productive as possible while moving smoothly into the culture.

Q: i'm looking for 2 things: numbers, costs, metrics, case studies, etc
focusing on how crucial the first couple of months are for employees --
productivity gains, turnover rates down, etc.

Q: the 2nd thing is names of vendors who may be doing something similar to
us, or names of employers who are known as leading edge in the area of
onboarding.

thanks for the help!
