Traveling on Business? Don’t Forget the Pooper Scooper

Pet-friendly corporate policies may be back in style.

Pooper Scooper: Will it soon be commonplace for business travelers to tote Fido or Fifi along with them? Some companies that cater to business travelers are expanding their policies to be more pet-friendly, according to USA Today. Higher morale is cited as one motivator. Some extended-stay hotel chains, including Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites, offer pet treats. Even airlines are getting in on the act. At Midwest Airlines, “an animal’s fourth flight is free” once its owner completes three round trips. It’s too small to call this a trend, although such activity recalls the outlandish employee benefits offered in recent years, including “bring your pet to work” days and even pet insurance.
