Towers Perrin Wants Second Opinion

The large consulting firm acquires ISR, a well-known employee research company.

Workforce Planning: Seeking to take advantage of the trend in employee engagement, consulting firm Towers Perrin is acquiring a company that specializes in taking the pulse of company workplaces. Towers Perrin said ISR of Chicago will augment its own practice in workforce effectiveness, which uses market data and surveys to help companies analyze their future workforce needs. ISR, which employs about 200 people around the globe, has been around since 1974 and made its name providing surveys of employee opinions, senior leadership, expatriates and HR-related business issues.
