Satisfied Employees Linked to Corporate ‘Social Responsibility’
Engagement also contributes to high integrity marks for some CEOs.
Integrity and Engagement: Image isn’t everything, but it comes pretty close.
According to Sirota Survey Intelligence, employees who “are satisfied with their
company’s commitment to social responsibility” are more engaged and show genuine
interest in its success. They also tend to have favorable views of top company
leadership, including executives’ integrity and their interest in the well-being
of employees. For example, of employees harboring positive views of their
company’s social commitment, 71 percent rate senior management with displaying
high integrity. Of those who feel the opposite, only 21 percent give management
high marks for integrity. Purchase, New York-based Sirota interviewed 1.6
million employees from about 70 organizations. —Garry
