Counterpoint: 71 Percent Plan to Stay at Least Five Years


Findings span different generations of workers, indicating job satisfaction and loyalty, according to staffing company survey.

Or Maybe Not: Then again, Express Services of Oklahoma City notes in a recent survey that slightly less than half of workers polled “plan on never leaving,” while 71 percent plan to remain for at least five years. The findings crossed generational barriers: 54 percent of workers age 25 to 44 intend to hang around, along with 56 percent of those 45 to 54 and 64 percent of those 55 and older. Express said it is “reassuring” to companies that employees are displaying loyalty.
