HR Institute Attracts Investors

Flush with $6 million, the Institute for Corporate Productivity plans to expand its product suite.

Human Capitalists: Renewed interest in the business role of human resources surfaced with the announcement that the Institute for Corporate Productivity, a St. Petersburg, Florida, research organization, is receiving $6 million in private financing from several institutional investors. Leading the funding were IDG Ventures Boston and Trinity Ventures of Menlo Park, California. The institute, formerly known as the Human Resource Institute, provides research on workforce productivity and other business issues. Officials say the funding will be used for marketing, product expansion and technology.
