Demand Spiking for Substitute Teachers
More backup teachers are getting near-full-time work.
Outsourcing Teachers: Organizations are using the outsourcing concept in every
way imaginable. Even public schools are looking at their talent management as a
business. According to a recent survey by staffing firm Kelly Services in Troy,
Michigan, substitute teachers are in great demand as school systems cope with a
shortage of qualified teaching staff. A survey of 2,600 substitutes found that
91 percent are working anywhere from two to three full weeks per month. —Garry
