Healthy Interest in Health Care Training: GE Healthcare is teaming with the
nonprofit National Center for Healthcare Leadership to provide educational
offerings and special training to “create and sustain leadership excellence”
among health care organizations. Known as the Institute for Transformational
Healthcare Leadership, the initiative aims to provide “assessment and planning
methods [and] learning programs to systematically develop leaders from the front
line to senior executive level,” according to a statement. The Chicago-based
National Center for Healthcare Leadership is launching the project with a series
of workshops and leadership programs in October to help people improve job
performance. NCHL’s benchmarking and evaluation tools will be used in
conjunction with GE’s management systems to help healthcare organizations
recruit and better retain top talent, as well as help healthcare leaders “create
a culture of accountability” within their organizations. GE Healthcare, which is
headquartered in the U.K. and has 4,600 global employees, is a $17 billion unit
of General Electric Co.
