Retirees Working: For various reasons, nearly 75 percent of people eligible to
retire say they will continue working anyway.
The results of a survey released by RetireeWorkforce.com, a
job recruitment site, indicate that about 34 percent of people will be forced to
remain in the workforce for financial reasons, while 15 percent want to earn
extra income and raise their standard of living in their golden years. However,
nearly one-quarter of those polled say they have no intention of working past
the gold-watch phase.
