All-You-Can-Eat Learning: The Institute of Hospitality in the United Kingdom is
offering trainers, managers and supervisors with a comprehensive slate of online
learning material
that is available for download. The courses are geared toward professionals in
the hospitality, leisure, sports and tourism industries, and each course costs
about $1,000 U.S. The initiative contains a menu of e-learning modules covering
a range of skills, including practice in communication, customer service and
project management. Officials with the London-based association, which until
last April was known as the Hotel & Catering International Management
Association, say the effort enables it to consolidate learning opportunities for
members, who span more than 100 countries. Hosting and managing the learning
library is Echelon Publishing, a British learning vendor.
