Retired Gen. Colin Powell has commanded troops and served as the chief executive of the U.S. diplomatic corps. But in both cases, the principles for running the organization are the same. "Leadership is leadership is leadership," Powell, former secretary of state, said in opening the first general session of the SHRM Annual Conference and Exposition on Sunday.
