Consultants Deal Down Under: Mercer Human Resource Consulting in London has acquired HRPartnering Pty Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia. Terms were not announced. HRPartnering is a talent management specialist that uses Web-based software to help organizations identify top performers. It also provides succession management and performance management consulting.

Also, for the second time in four months executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles International has completed an acquisition in the Asia-Pacific region. The Chicago-based company said January 8 that it had acquired RentonJames, described as a boutique executive search and leadership consulting firm based in Auckland, New Zealand. In October, Heidrick & Struggles paid $51.6 million to acquire the Sydney, Australia-based team of Highland Partners, an executive search company that formerly was a division of Hudson Highland Group Inc.
