With flu season around the corner and the H1N1 flu—also known as swine flu—still a top concern of medical professionals, Welcoa reminds employers that August is National Immunization Awareness Month. This would be a good month, the organization says, to ensure that workers have the immunizations they need. (There currently is no vaccine for the H1N1 flu, although one is in development, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention expect it to be available in the fall). August is also Cataract Awareness Month, and August 1 is National Minority Donor Awareness Day.
