Trying to stay abreast of market trends, Spherion has given a new moniker to its recruitment process outsourcing business.

On Monday, August 3, the staffing giant said Spherion RPO is now SourceRight Solutions.

Rebecca Callahan, the Spherion senior vice president responsible for SourceRight Solutions, says the change aims to capture the way customers are seeking help with a broad range of talent acquisition needs, including the management of contract workers and staffing providers.

“SourceRight is really about sourcing for the right talent for the right job regardless of whether that’s a permanent worker or not,” Callahan says.

Spherion has already offered such integrated sourcing services, Callahan says. The new name is designed to reflect those capabilities.

Callahan’s unit is a major supplier of recruitment process outsourcing, which traditionally has referred to farming out the hiring of permanent employees. Among SourceRight’s competitors are The RightThing and Kenexa.

Recruitment process outsourcing providers are seeing an increase in interest from employers that have cut their internal recruiting staffs but are now realizing the need to start hiring again in the next few months.

SourceRight has a team of more than 500 recruiters and offers to find talent across a range of skills, including people in administrative, contact center and engineering roles.

How Do We Build a World-Class Recruiting Department?

I need to establish a strategic plan on how we can become a world-class staffing/recruiting department. Unfortunately, all the historical data from previous recruiting managers got tossed. Do you have any simple tips on how to begin this ambitious plan?
