NCCI Holdings Inc. is seeking an average decrease of 9.3 percent in workers’ compensation rates for 2010 coverage in Colorado.
The Colorado Division of Insurance has scheduled a public hearing in Denver for September 17 to consider NCCI’s recommendation.
Colorado’s Legislature, meanwhile, is holding a series of hearings to determine whether the state should privatize or make other changes to Pinnacol Assurance, a quasi-governmental insurer and the largest workers’ comp underwriter in Colorado.
