Recruiting, consulting and management services firm Hudson Highland Group Inc. is consolidating its global operation into three business units—Americas, Asia Pacific and Europe. It also named a chief people officer and chief knowledge officer.

The company's new Americas division will be headed up by Stephan Carter, Hudson's North America head. Leading the new Asia Pacific region will be Mark Steyn, Hudson's Australia/New Zealand regional leader. The European division will be overseen by Mike Game, Hudson's former Asia head.

"This new operational structure and leadership alignment will facilitate the successful execution of our global strategy," said chairman and CEO Manuel Marquez.

In addition, Hudson named Tracy Noon as chief people officer and Steve Zales as chief knowledge officer.

Noon had served as head of human resources for Hudson's Australia/New Zealand region. As chief people officer, Noon will lead the global strategy, processes and programs to find, develop and retain the right professionals for Hudson's business globally.

Zales' previous positions included time at firms such as Time Warner, Disney and Spencer Stuart. At Hudson, he will oversee the Hudson's marketing and information technology functions worldwide.

"Tracy and Steve bring a unique combination of skills, experience and expertise to effectively leverage our human capital and intellectual assets in a world where data, mobile devices and the Web are having a transformative impact on the way we do business," Marquez said. "In so doing, we will further distinguish our brand and our services in the market."
