Diversity Spending: Driven largely by increased globalization, about 22 percent of employers plan to boost spending on diversity initiatives in 2007, according to Boston-based Novations Group. The poll of more than 2,000 senior HR executives reveals that more firms are focusing on getting employees engaged and tracking the effectiveness of diversity and inclusion programs. Nearly 52 percent of companies expect their spending on diversity training to remain the same as in 2006, with about 5 percent predicting a drop in spending. However, nearly 21 percent of those polled will budget nothing for diversity training.
