Payroll and human resources are uniquely separate functions which have different needs. Those needs, especially on the human resource side, can change quickly. An integrated payroll/human resource system may not easily be adjusted to meet those needs because changes on the human resource side may adversely affect the payroll side. With an interfaced payroll-human resource system, the human resource system can readily be modified without impacting payroll. If requirements are not met in a timely manner, the human resource staff will resort back to spreadsheets for their data analysis needs. Here are some other reasons why an integrated payroll and HR solution is not always the best choice for your business.
