Amid the political turmoil that has defined Egypt during the past two years, telecommunications company Etisalat Egypt has helped to keep its employees focused by providing them with world-class technology.
Earlier this year, Etisalat, which is based in Cairo, launched a mobile application that gives employees access to a variety of services. These include the ability to look up pay information, vacation balances and performance appraisals. Employees also can use the mobile tool to submit a “trouble ticket” to different internal departments. And the system allows workers to propose innovative ideas for improving the company.
In this way, the company, whose parent firm Etisalat Misr operates in 17 countries overall, is keeping up with cutting-edge practices of companies in more-developed countries.
