The RightThing Takes On AIRS
Recruitment process outsourcing vendor the RightThing is acquiring recruitment training and sourcing technology vendor AIRS.
The RightThing did not disclose financial terms of the deal, which was announced Monday, February 18. Both the RightThing and AIRS are privately held.
Industry observers say AIRS is an important purchase for the RightThing because it allows the RPO giant to broaden its menu of offerings to clients. Since its inception in 2003, The RightThing has focused on providing services such as talent pre-screening, testing, interviewing and onboarding.
Through the acquisition, however, the RightThing could extend its business into training and software. AIRS offers its technology and a popular platform that teaches recruiters to hunt for talent more effectively.
“We are thrilled with the opportunities that AIRS will present to us,” says Terry Terhark, CEO for the RightThing, which is based in Findlay, Ohio.
AIRS will be run as an independent business unit, according to Terhark, who will oversee both companies. Chris Forman, former CEO of AIRS, will now serve as president of AIRS, reporting directly to Terhark.
No layoffs are expected among AIRS’ 65 employees. AIRS will continue to operate from its headquarters in Wilder, Vermont.
