When Reich visits a workplace, he does a "pronoun test." He asks frontline workers a few general questions about the company. If the answers he receives describe the company with terms like "they" and "them," Reich knows that it says something about the business or non-profit.
When the employees use words like "we" or "us," it says something very different.
