As an overweight working woman, I agree with your post. I would fit into the category of morbidly obese but I do not think obesity should qualify as a disability unless it is accompanied by true diseases such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, etc. I have options to change my circumstances through diet and exercise if I so choose. Those we genetic complications that are treated with medication and ongoing doctor's care do not always have that option. We are opening ourselves up as a society to create more and more possibilities for lawsuits and the like. As a HR professional I foresee the quagmire this revision to the ADA will make for those who must administer it.
