Getting Into the Field

Posted in the HR Career Forum:
A reader writes: "I am currently working as a financial analyst in a budgeting department of a utility company. I graduated from college two years ago. My major was economics. But I do not have any previous experience in the field. Could you advise me how to approach this situation? Any help would be appreciated."
