Survey: Newspaper Ads Still Important to Job Seekers: Employers
that have migrated from traditional newspaper ads to online advertising
to meet recruitment objectives may want to reconsider their strategy. Upwards
of two-thirds of job seekers say they use both print and online ads to seek
work, according to a study conducted by the Conference Board.
Hewitt-BP Split May Signal End of 'Lift and Shift' Deals: The decision
not to renew the HRO contract reaffirms that employers will no longer be
able to just pass off their HR processes to providers without doing some
of their own self-assessment and transformation first.
Government Insurance Inquiries Expand to Include Benefits Advisors:
Government investigations into intermediary
compensation practices, which focused initially on property/casualty placements,
have expanded into the employee benefits arena.
Public-Sector Agencies Look Closer at HRO:
More public-sector organizations, which have
traditionally been slow to embrace outsourcing, are planning to outsource
their HR processes in the coming months, according to a new report.
Possible IPO for Salary.com Faces Challenges:
With recent news of a possible IPO, Salary.com could make waves in the swelling
market for talent management software. But the firm must navigate around
an obstacle embedded in its name—the perception that it focuses on compensation
alone.
Analysts: Private Equity Firms to Make a Play
for HRO Providers in ’07: As the market matures, private equity
investors are becoming more comfortable with the idea of investing in this
space. Hewitt Associates may be among the primary targets, the analysts
note.
EC Green Paper May Have Huge Implications for
HRO World: The document, titled "Modernising Labour Law to Meet
the Challenges of the 21st Century," discusses the need to establish some
uniformity in European Union member countries' labor policies.
